Koala, Australia: Vulnerable
Koalas live high up in the eucalyptus trees of native bush lands and forests which are only found in Australia. Current threats to their population include habitat destruction, bushfires, drought and diseases. More recently, it has been discovered that bats are acting as flying carriers for viruses that can also severely threaten the Koala population.
